Amazing the things God will inspire you to do.
In my case, my life has sucked. And I mean SUCKED.
Especially with in the last several months/year. And even now when I feel borderline dropping-dead and exhausted beyond belief with everything to mope and whine about, God has given me just one instruction:
Choose to be happy anyways.
And why shouldn't I?
Life (or God for that matter) isn't going to reward me with a medal for being sad. Nothing good will come out of just constantly being sad, mad, angry and depressed. People in my life aren't going to recognize or praise me for my 'awesome abilitlies to survive this cruel world.' No. No one is really going to care because everyone has a reason to curl up in depression. Everyone has at least one thing that's happened that has shaken them to the core even if they don't realize it.
Being unhappy is easy, but being happy in the midst of a world gone wrong takes plenty of bravery--and at the end of my life, what will everything bad mean anyways? Absolutely nothing. Nothing will have changed my life so much as just being happy. I want to look back and think about my "golden days"--the days where I was happy no matter the circumstance; life where I found beauty any and everywhere I went.
And God is giving me an opportunity every day to remember that.
Lots of people need giving hearts and I can give that. One piece of beauty for someone else is just a piece of happiness for me :)
